Te Arawa Whare Waka, Rotorua Lakefront: a project we’re proud to stand behind

There are some projects that feel bigger than the build itself. Te Arawa Whare Waka at the Rotorua Lakefront is one of them, and we’re incredibly proud to have been the local glaziers who completed the glazing for this stunning new piece of architecture in our hometown.

Designed to shelter the Te Arawa waka taua while keeping it visible to the public, the building relies on glass to do what glass does best: protect, frame, and showcase without getting in the way. It’s clean, modern, and striking, and it sits beautifully on the lakefront.

What we delivered

For a project like this, glazing needs to look sharp and perform under real conditions. Our role was to deliver the glass installation so the structure functions as intended, while maintaining the architectural impact of the design.

Why projects like this matter

Public-facing builds demand more than a tidy finish. They need:

  • Precision in measuring and installation

  • Safe, fit-for-purpose glass selection

  • Clean lines and consistency across large areas

  • A result that stands up to daily exposure and public use

This is exactly the kind of work we love being part of.
