Splashbacks
Splashbacks are a stylish and practical way to protect your walls while creating a clean, modern finish. While they’re most commonly used in kitchens, we also install splashbacks in laundries, bathrooms, behind fireplaces, and as feature panels throughout the home.
Unlike tiles, glass splashbacks have no grout lines, so they’re easier to clean and maintain.
A splashback can change the whole room
When designed well, a splashback becomes more than a practical surface. It can completely transform a space, adding colour and a seamless finish that stands the test of time.
We measure, supply and install custom splashbacks across the Bay of Plenty, with a precise fit and professional finish.
Choosing the Right Splashback Finish
With so many splashback options available, choosing the right finish can feel overwhelming. The best option will depend on your kitchen style, budget, and the look you want to achieve.

If you’re unsure which option will suit your space best, our team can walk you through the available finishes and help you choose the right splashback for your kitchen.
Why choose a splashback
Splashbacks are a popular alternative to tiles thanks to their clean look, durability, and design flexibility.
Key benefits
No grout lines, easier cleaning and maintenance
Custom sizing for a precise fit
Colour matching available (Resene and Dulux)
A wide range of finishes from sleek glass to textured Laminam
Durable and heat resistant for typical kitchen environments
A strong design feature that can lift the whole room
Whether you’re renovating a kitchen, refreshing a laundry, or creating a decorative feature wall, a splashback can provide a practical surface and a striking visual finish that stands the test of time.
Our splashback installation process
Installing a custom splashback is a straightforward process. Our team manages everything from measurement through to installation to ensure a clean and precise finish.
Choosing the right colour
Because splashbacks are custom made, it’s worth taking a little time to choose a colour, image and finsh that suits your space.
What to consider
Lighting: natural light, LEDs and under-cabinet lights can change how colour reads
Benchtops and cabinetry: undertones matter when everything is installed together
Gloss and reflective finishes: can brighten a space and reflect surrounding colours
Matching vs contrasting: blend-in or make it a feature, both can work well
Seeing samples in your home: samples often look different at home than in a showroom
We’re happy to help with design direction, and we can organise samples so you can make a confident choice.
Splashbacks FAQs
What types of splashbacks do you offer?
We supply and install a wide range of splashback options, including:
Painted glass splashbacks
Printed glass splashbacks
Reflective glass splashbacks
Antique mirror splashbacks
Matt finish splashbacks
Hydro-dipped glass splashbacks
Slumped glass splashbacks
Laminam splashbacks
Standard sizes also available.
Each option offers a different aesthetic, allowing you to choose the finish that best suits your kitchen design.
Can you colour match a splashback?
Yes. We can colour match splashbacks to Resene or Dulux paint colours — we simply need the paint colour code.
Some homeowners also choose to match their wall colour but adjust the tone slightly (such as double strength or half strength) to create a subtle point of difference while still keeping the design cohesive.
Do you measure and install splashbacks?
Yes. We provide a full measure and installation service to ensure your splashback fits perfectly.
Our team services Rotorua, the Bay of Plenty, Waikato, and surrounding regions.
Can a splashback be cut after it has been made?
No. Once glass splashbacks are manufactured and toughened, they cannot be cut or modified.
For this reason, accurate measurement is essential before production.
Do power points affect splashback installation?
Yes. If your splashback requires cut-outs for power points, switches, or fittings, these must be measured and manufactured into the glass.
Additional cut-outs can increase the cost due to the extra manufacturing required.
Can glass splashbacks go behind gas hobs?
Yes, in most cases they can.
However, glass splashbacks installed behind gas hobs must be toughened safety glass and require a minimum clearance between the burner and the glass. The exact clearance depends on the cooktop manufacturer’s specifications.
If the clearance is not sufficient, Laminam or other non-glass options may be recommended instead.
